Champions League: Bayern Munich and Union Berlin play a draw

FC Bayern Munich – FC Copenhagen 0-0

After 17 wins in the group stage of the Champions League, FC Bayern Munich drew against Copenhagen. The German soccer champions couldn’t get past a 0-0 draw against FC Copenhagen in front of 75,000 spectators.

Bayern, who played their 39th group game without defeat in a row, have been group winners for three weeks now. Munich’s next game will take place on December 12th against Manchester United. The round of 16 will be drawn on December 18th.

SC Braga – 1. FC Union Berlin 1:1 (1:0)

Despite being in the majority for a long time, Union Berlin has not managed to break its winless streak. Under new coach Nenad Bjelica, Union drew 1-1 (1-0) against SC Braga. It is the 16th competitive game without a win for the Bundesliga club.

Shortly before the start of the half-time break, national player Robin Gosens (42nd) gave the guests the lead. Álvaro Djaló scored the equalizer for the Portuguese (52nd). Braga’s defender Sikou Niakaté was shown a red card after a foul against Kevin Behrens in the 31st minute.

Real Madrid – SSC Neapel 4:2 (2:1)

Real Madrid continues to perform flawlessly in the current Champions League season. Los Blancos won their home game against Naples 4:2 (2:1). Due to the defeat, the Italian champions missed early qualification for the round of 16. On the last matchday, Napoli plays against Sporting Braga.

The first goals came early in the game. Naples briefly took the lead thanks to a goal from Diego Simeone (9th). Just two minutes later, Rodrygo (11th) scored the equalizer for Real. The next goal came from Jude Bellingham (22nd). Shortly after half-time, Zambo Anguissa (47th) scored to equalize 2-2. Rubén Paz scored for Real Madrid in the 84th minute. Joselu scored the winning goal in stoppage time (90+4).

FC Arsenal – RC Lens 6:0 (5:0)

Arsenal have reached the round of 16 of the Champions League with the German international Kai Havertz. The English top club won against RC Lens from France 6:0 (5:0). Arsenal thus secured early victory in Group B.

Havertz (13th) opened the scoring for the Londoners with his goal to make it 1-0. The next goals were scored by Gabriel Jesus (21st), Saka (23rd) and Gabriel Martinelli (27th). In stoppage time at half-time, Odegaard (45th + 2) scored to make it 5-0. Jorginho scored the final goal (86th) with a penalty.

Benfica Lisbon – Inter Milan 3:3 (3:0)

Benfica Lisbon squandered a comfortable 3-0 half-time lead under German coach Roger Schmidt. With the 3-3 draw against Inter Milan, Lisbon missed out on its first win of the season in the Champions League. With just one point, the Portuguese have a theoretical chance of third place in the upcoming game against RB Salzburg.

With a hat trick, João Mário (5th, 13th and 34th) gave Lisbon the lead at the first half break. In the second half of the game, goals from Marko Arnautović (51′) and Davide Frattesi (58′) followed. Alexis Sánchez secured the draw with a penalty goal (72′). Inter Milan are in second place in Group D.

Real Sociedad San Sebastian – RB Salzburg 0:0 (0:0)

In the second game of Group D, the Austrians from RB Salzburg played 0-0 against Real Sociedad San Sebastián in Spain. Salzburg saved the point over time, especially in the final phase. Sociedad was generally stronger in terms of play, but Salzburg also managed several good moves. Not least thanks to goalkeeper Alexander Schlager, they went home scoreless but with one point.
