There are 60 athletes from Brixen who have particularly distinguished themselves for their sporting aptitudes during the year, giving the town of Brixen prestige and reputation. A significant result for the sportsmen of the bishop’s civic club who met in recent days in the rooms of the Astra cultural center in Via Roma to commemorate their results and receive recognition in memory of the feats achieved. Athletics, handball, badminton, triathlon, climbing, swimming, dancing and sports dance: in all these disciplines and many others, athletes and their coaches have achieved considerable success at national, European and international level.
A truly remarkable number of deserving athletes and coaches who this year too the municipal administration wanted to thank by inviting them to the traditional reception before the end of the year. In the ritual speech by the municipal sports councilor Andreas Jungmann, it was highlighted how essential it is for the town of Brixen to focus on young people and sport.
