Will Max Eberl come to FC Bayern? According to Sky, the commitment is “getting closer and closer”. Two people in particular should take care of the winter transfers.

There continues to be speculation about Max Eberl’s future at FC Bayern Munich. According to Sky, the signing of the football manager is “getting closer and closer”. The German champions’ supervisory board met last week, but there was no official vote afterwards.

This position has been vacant at FC Bayern since Hasan Salihamidzic left his position as sports director at the end of May. Honorary President Uli Hoeneß recently said that a man would probably be hired for this position in the next four to six months, thereby once again confirming the timetable he had drawn up.

“Then let’s see whether it will be Max or someone else,” said Hoeneß in an interview on RTL/ntv that was conducted over a month ago. Hoeneß is a member of the supervisory board, which appoints board members.

After the supervisory board meeting a week ago, it became known that marketing director Andreas Jung (61) was leaving the club in the summer after almost three decades. Jung’s decision has no causal connection to the exciting personality of Eberl (50), the area of responsibility is different. But when people talk about the board that will lead the series champions into the future, the name of the former Mönchengladbach and former Leipzig manager has long been mentioned.

No need to hurry

In the winter transfer window, those responsible in Munich see the work “in very good hands with our Christoph Freund together with Thomas (Tuchel),” as CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen said. FC Bayern does not see any need for great haste when it comes to the sports board issue.

RB Leipzig parted ways with Eberl at the end of September shortly before the top game against FC Bayern. From the RB bosses’ point of view, the reason was Eberl’s lack of commitment to Leipzig. In addition to a possible move to FC Bayern, Eberl has also already been linked to Liverpool FC. According to dpa information, the Saxons are demanding around five million euros if Eberl wants to work for a new club. RB and Eberl have apparently agreed on this.
