NBA – For the first evening of the new “In-season Tournament”, Damian Lillard (30 points) and the Bucks had the last word (110-105) over Jalen Brunson’s Knicks (45 points).
In the lead almost the entire game, the Bucks yet almost got robbed by the Knicks at home, on their (flashy) special “In-season tournament” (or “NBA Cup”) floor. I have to say that Jalen Brunsonelusive throughout the evening with his penetrations and author of 45 points, threw a blow to the air conditioning in the Fiserv Forum one minute from the end, when he put New York in front for the first time since the second quarter.
Fortunately for Milwaukeethe inevitable Damian Lillard was obviously present in the “money time” to calm the New York enthusiasm, with a 3-pointer then an “and-one” to give the advantage back to his team. Definitive advantage, because Tom Thibodeau’s men would not recover from the small, but effective, boost from “Dame”.
Despite their lack of skill in the fourth quarter, the Bucks therefore offer themselves their first victory (110-105) in this new “In-season tournament” and the Knicks will need more efficiency next time, in order to to leave with anything other than a defeat.
WHAT YOU MUST REMEMBER
– Jalen Brunson was not enough in the face of Milwaukee’s external success. With 45 points, three units from his personal best, the Knicks leader was enormous in giving his team the right to dream of a great hold-up in Wisconsin, but he had to admit defeat. Helpless, on the one hand, in the face of the clumsiness of some of his teammates and, on the other hand, in the face of the Bucks’ big 3-point evening: 20/39, or 51%! Damian Lillard of course, but also Giannis Antetokounmpo, Brook Lopez, Jae Crowder, MarJon Beauchamp and Khris Middleton all went there with their baskets and that weighs heavily in the balance.

Best scorer for the Bucks, “Dame” made the total for the Knicks and he especially stood out in “money time” with a 3-pointer, an “and-one” and free throws in the last minute, when Jalen Brunson’s teammates were threatening. A beneficial contribution to resist Jalen Brunson and compensate for the ball losses of Giannis Antetokounmpo, the zero points of Malik Beasley, the clumsiness of the Lopez/Portis pair inside or even the monitored playing time of Khris Middleton.
⛔️ New York address. Although they dominated on the rebound (56-41) and took around fifteen more shots than the Bucks, the Knicks were weighed down by their clumsiness (40%, including 26% at 3-points…) and that He was not forgiven against a team capable of shooting 20/39 behind the arc.
