Boxing: Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk will face each other on February 17 in Saudi Arabia

This is a fight for boxing history. The British Tyson Fury (35 years old) and the Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (36 years old) will face each other on February 17 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for the title of undisputed heavyweight world champion. A great first since 1999 and Lennox Lewis, who beat Evander Holyfield in Las Vegas to defend the WBA, WBC and IBF titles.

Fury, undefeated in 35 fights (34 wins including 24 by KO, 1 draw), is the reigning WBC champion while Usyk, also undefeated in 21 fights (21 wins including 14 by KO), holds the WBA, WBO belts and IBF. The winner of this fight would therefore win all four belts, which would be a historic first in the discipline.

Two more fights in Riyadh, December 23

The fight was scheduled to take place on December 23, but the proximity of this date to the fight between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou, which went as far as the (controversial) decision, thwarted these plans. Instead, also in Riyadh, another equally enticing card will see former world heavyweight champions Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder fight Otto Wallin and Joseph Parker respectively.

Canceled at the last moment when it was supposed to take place in April, the long-awaited fight between Usyk and Fury will therefore take place, barring a last minute reversal, in February.
