“I am particularly pleased that the Italian Paralympic Committee and the Roman School of Comics have given continuity to a project born a year ago with the aim of spreading, through art and sport, a different perception of disability. I am convinced that it is thanks to events of this kind that we can promote the right to full inclusion for people with disabilities and at the same time promote an idea of beauty which, eschewing predefined standards, is able to enhance the uniqueness of each body. This also fuels the silent cultural revolution that is contributing to the growth of our country, from a social and civil point of view. Special thanks therefore go to the Roman School of Comics and the National Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria for having made all this possible”, says Luca Pancalli, president of CIP.

“Being us the models of this exhibition is certainly a wonderful experience but also important to make us and our Paralympic world known”, commented Raffaela Battaglia, godmother of the event and recent winner of the European title with the Italian national sitting volleyball team.

“I’ve noticed that the way you approach yourself is a reflection that others will have towards you. So, after the amputation I immediately got back on my feet, I took my life back in hand and this helped me to have completely natural support from others”, observed Giacomo Perini
