Aylu Judo Team Shines in Spanish Cup Competition Category

The Spanish Cup is divided into two categories, Elite and Competition, and the Alcarreños participated in the Competition category, as they all faced their first participation in a Spanish Cup. They all had excellent behavior on the tatami with good fights and hard-fought victories, with a good dose of judo and also experience.

Alvaro Segovia He won a silver medal in -42 kilos A. He did very well but lost the first fight perhaps due to nerves and that relegated him to second position. He made two more in which he emerged victorious, but the second one stands out above all, against a very strong rival who was scored by Wazari with 20 seconds left, and in which, thanks to his tactical approach, his rival could not do anything.

Alvaro Agarrabeitia He was gold -42kg B, winning his three fights in a very hard-working manner and doing his job very well during the fight.

Josemi Galache He counts his fights for victories before time. The deserved gold medal in +66 kilos with two fights won by ippon without problems.

Daniel Hernandez, silver in -50kg A. It was difficult from the beginning. Perhaps it is the weight in which there is the most judo and above all, where the judokas are stronger and more balanced. He won two fights out of three, but if his concentration increased a little, the prizes would be more succulent.

Lucas Pordomingo, at -38 kg, is the one that was most difficult to achieve a good result. It is not for lack of judo or training, nor for lack of courage on the tatami. He is by far the smallest in the category, since at just over 30 kilos, he competes with 38 kilo judokas. He did very well, he held his own against two very big rivals, and in the third fight, with an opponent somewhat more physically similar to him, he had a great fight, taking the victory and reaching bronze.

Nia Kizanishvili, gold in -57 kg was unrivaled. He did two fights and was not on the tatami for more than 15 seconds. He defeated both with total solvency, showing great superiority.

Noelia Lupan, silver -63kg, I paid for my inexperience in the first fight. She was a rival from Murcia who had a lot of judo and instead of waiting to see how the fight would develop, she took a risk and it turned out badly. She won the remaining two fights with hard work. but both before the end of time.

Good result for the Aylu judokas who already have their sights set on the first phases of School Sports.
