Australia is in the final of the Davis Cup in Malaga for the second consecutive time. The team led by Lleyton Hewitt clearly beat Finland who had never reached the semi-finals in history. The second semi-final is scheduled for Saturday, between Italy and Serbia. Live from 12pm on Rai2.
The first match featured the Australian Popyrin who gave no room to the game of the Finnish Virtanen, who was beaten 7-6/6-2.
To bring the second point to Australia was De Minaur who beat Ruusuvuori 6-4:6-3. There was no need for double; Australia reaches the final where on Sunday they will find the winner between the Azzurri and Djokovic’s Serbians. Last year the Australian team was surprisingly defeated by Canada with an excellent Felix Auger Aliassime.
