AUC Badminton Club Hosts Successful Duo Mixto Tournament: Full Results Here

On November 18 and 19, 250 badistas gathered at the Halle des 4 oaks in Amiens to take part in the Duo Mixto, organized by Amiens University Badminton Club.

310 is the total number of meetings held in two days within the Hall of the 4 oaks of Amiens on the occasion of the national tournament organized by l’AUC Badminton. This was the fifth edition of the competition, which made its comeback after a year of absence. The event, which is always held in November, is dedicated to paintings of men’s, women’s and mixed doubles. In total, more than 250 players registered to participate in the competition, coming from Hauts-de-France, Normandy or even Île de France.

For several years now, Amiens UC Badminton has stood out focusing on quality to the quantity and by limiting the number of registrants to guarantee two leavers per group. By offering only one competition site, equipped with 9 terrainsthe tournament remains renowned for its conviviality. In fact, all levels come together in the same room. Furthermore, as soon as registration opens, the tournament is often stormed with many complete draws in just a few days.

Notable results

On the competition side, there was some Nice game ! With around fifty Amiens residents involved, Amiens UC Badminton didn’t come up empty and adorned itself with a few podiums at the end of these two days. SATURDAY, the day was dedicated to men’s and women’s doubles. At the end of this, Marie Renault and Coralie Lecointeawarded the title in DD P10/NC, just like the pairs Germain/Catteau a DH P10-NC et Quevy/Catteau en DH D8/D9. Clémence Hanin, associated with Angeline Arantes (BUSF), also took the first step of the podium in the D8-D9 series. Several Amiens residents finished as unhappy finalists: Adeline Jeuniaux and Céline D’Azevedo en P10-NC, Léo Crépin and Antoine Dumont in N2-N3, just like Ophélie Béron and Camille Marian (BOB) in women’s doubles in the same series.

As for the day of Sunday, dedicated to mixed doublesthe results were less successful for AUC residents with only two podiums on the meter. The first with Luna Savary and Florian Haas who finished second in the P10-NC series, the second with Léo Crépin, associated with Norman Marie Ramundawho bows to Leborgne/Delattre in series N2-N3.

At the end of the competition, the very recent president Pierre Bohin insisted on “sincerely thank ” all of the volunteers who worked to hold this event: “Your time and energy were invaluable in making this wonderful event happen and we are truly grateful for your contribution”.

The AUC Badminton will organize its traditional Hortillons national tournament but will have other deadlines before that, in particular this Saturday November 25 with the receipt of Wambrechies on behalf of the 4th day of Pre-National.
