A total of 18 athletes will enjoy this course at the Andalusian Specialized Badminton Sports Technology Center of Huelva, located in the Annex Pavilion of the Sports Palace Carolina Marín, in a regime of permanent concentration, of which two competent members of the national para-badminton team, with Paco Moterorecent European champion in mixed doubles as a reference
In addition, three athletes from the group, the national champion Cristina Teruel Among them, they are already pursuing university studies, which represents the culmination of their academic/sports training, which is one of the main objectives of the program.
The athletes who make up the Technique Center have also participated, in addition to the Program Associations Badminton without barrierswhich begins its fifth year of existence with this new Course.
The Center aims to improve the conditions in which the training process of those athletes with the most outstanding performance in the sport is developed, as well as to facilitate comprehensive training and improvement of skills. Andalusian athletes of school age with a higher level and projection of sports performance, the so-called “sports talents”, which are part of the specific sports programs developed therein, through training support, advice and guidance on job placement, safeguarding health protection of the athlete.
For its part, the Andalusian Badminton Federation has been entrusted with the management of the Center since its inception in 2002 and develops the technicalization program from three aspects: Training of sports talents, for the development and improvement of the capabilities of selected school-age athletes; the Improvement of sporting talents, aimed at the specialization of these athletes in order to increase their performance in national and international competitions and the Maintenance of the performance of these athletes.
The delegate of Tourism, Culture and Sports, Teresa Herrera, has visited these facilities together with those responsible for other entities that are part of the sports project such as Huelva City Council, the Provincial Council and the Spanish and Andalusian Badminton Federations.
