“Alianza” club explained in an official statement that the lights in the stadium were turned off in order to encourage fans to go home and avoid disturbances in the stands.

“We understand that this action was interpreted in different ways, but the club’s only goal was to avoid unfortunate situations… We regret the inconvenience caused to the spectators,” Alianza said, adding that it would cooperate with the authorities as “Universitario Deportes” filed a complaint against them. .
