After a Scorching Start, Thibau Nys Faces Setbacks and Looks to Recover

Things have gone a lot less well for Thibau Nys in recent weeks, after he had a scorching start to the season. It also didn’t work last weekend in Dublin.

However, young Nys had some explanations for this. He said his vision was clouded by his lenses, and there was also a problem with his back. This meant that the Baloise Trek Lions rider did not get further than seventh place.

“My back was acting up. “As a result, in the sandbox, which was very decisive for me and through which I cleaved flawlessly during the first four laps, taking some space each time, I suddenly started to lose time,” Nys explained after the race.

However, Nys appears to have recovered very quickly from those back problems. The team announced that he will even double this weekend in Boom on Saturday and in Flamanville on Sunday.

“Another ‘double weekend’ to end his first block of competitions,” Sven Nys, however, has less news about his son. “Then he goes on an internship to Calpe for two weeks with Lidl-Trek.” After this we will have to make do without Thibau Nys for two weeks, although a break may come in handy for him.
