Zdenek Stybar Announces Retirement from Cycling Career

Zdenek Stybar: three-time cyclo-cross world champion, successful ex-Quick-Stepper and now sending big news to the world. His cycling career is completely over.

It is not a surprise, because the Czech had already indicated that the Tour of Guangxi might be his last road race. After a lot of injuries, ‘Styby’ had difficulty finding a new team. It remains important news that he is hanging up his bike.

Stybar removes all doubts with an Instagram post. “This is it. The last WorldTour race of my career. Not really the way I expected it, but life would be boring if we could plan everything, wouldn’t it?”

“Now it’s time to think about the future,” the man who rode for Jayco-AlUla this year looks ahead. He apparently does this in good spirits, because he already drinks a beer.
