I Carabinieri of the Ostia station arrested a 18enneMoroccan, seriously suspected of crime of attempted aggravated theft.
On this occasion, the young man was surprised by two Carabinieri, a female Marshal and a female Carabiniere, both off duty and in plain clothes, while he was attempting to force the entrance door of a restaurant. When he was stopped and searched, the soldiers found him in possession of a switchblade and approximately 7 g of hashish, which were seized. From subsequent investigations carried out by the Carabinieri, it was established that the 18-year-old had also attempted to force the door of an apartment located in Lungomare Paolo Toscanelli.
To the Carabinieri the man immediately appeared in a clear state of alteration presumably due to the abuse of alcohol and drugs, for which the intervention of the 118 health workers was requested, who transported him to the “GB Grassi” hospital, where he is guarded and made available to the Court of Rome, which validated the arrest and ordered the 18-year-old to sign in the barracks.
It should be noted that the proceedings are in the preliminary investigation phase and therefore the suspect must be considered innocent until finally convicted.
