Woman Escapes Violent Attack by Partner, Seeks Help from NUE/112 Emergency Line

On the evening of 25 October, the NUE/112 emergency line received a request for help from a woman who reported being the victim of a violent attack by her partner inside their home.
Immediately, the note was issued to the police officers present in the area and, within a few minutes, the police reached the indicated place, finding the victim on the condominium stairs, where he had fled to escape the blind fury of his companion.
She reported that the man had tried to strangle her, in fact showing clear marks on her neck, and had also threatened her with a baseball bat, with which he had already damaged the interior furnishings of the apartment.
Upon seeing the officers, the man immediately appeared extremely nervous and uncooperative, continuing, despite their presence, to repeatedly rail against his partner, directing offensive and threatening phrases at her.
The woman, reassured by the presence of the police, finally reported the repeated attacks she had suffered over time from the man and that she had never had the courage to report, for fear of retaliation.
Not only that, but fearing for her own safety, the victim confided, she had been forced to sleep in the car for some time.
The man, who also had a police record for crimes against the person, was arrested.
The metal baseball bat, 65 cm long and 5 cm in diameter, was found in the house and seized.
