Universidad Panamericana Campus Bonaterra Shines in the 2023 Conadeip National Archery Championship

Once again, the Universidad Panamericana Campus Bonaterra became the epicenter of university sports thanks to the 2023 edition of the Conadeip National Archery Championship, bringing together athletes from all over the country in a competition that lasted several days and had the campus with a quite special atmosphere.
From the training sessions, previous meetings and classifications, Bonaterra behaved up to the mark, organizing this test to perfection, which was a complete success and left all the participants more than satisfied.
In terms of results, Bonaterra won a couple of gold medals taking advantage of their local status. The first was in the arch modality composed of mixed teams where the brothers Rodrigo and Brenda González de Alba qualified in first place, to advance directly to the final for gold, an instance in which they faced Anáhuac Querétaro, to overcome them. 150-144 and get to the top of the podium.
The other medal came in the individual men’s compound archery with Rodrigo González de Alba qualifying as second place in the category and advancing to the final, where he beat Salvador Durán from the Tijuana Technological Institute in the golden arrow, after tying in his game to 143 points. For his part, Emiliano Hernández López took fourth place in the category, close to bronze.
Thanks to these results, Bonaterra finished in first place in the total medal table, being the only institution to win two golds, followed by Cetys Universidad and Tecnológico de Monterrey, which completed the team podium. In this way, this historic edition of the competition closed in an unforgettable party for the participants and for the UP, which served as a great host.
