There are three other national teams who, after today’s matches, are mathematically qualified for next year’s European Championships in Germany. They are Vincenzo Montella’s Turkey, who beat Latvia 4-0 with two goals from Tosun and one each from Akgun and Akturkoglu, Spain who won 1-0 in Norway with a goal from Gavi, and Scotland who despite not playing today they are certain of second place in group A thanks to the defeat of the Norwegians, who are -5 behind their rivals with only one match left to play.
Before today, Portugal, France and Belgium had already qualified for Euro 2024.
