Trops makes a strong effort to win in Oviedo (25-28)

He Trops Málaga got rid of last week’s setback. Quino Soler’s team, who do not want to lose ground with the top places, needed to win on their visit to the Principality of Asturias and they did so with skill, against the Oviedo Financial Union (25-28), after a very disputed match against. However, the quality of the Malacitan team, together with the good tactical approach and the excellent level of attack shown by the Costa Soleños, made the balance tip in favor of the visiting side.

Trops played with the score in their favor during the first stages of the game. At 06:05, Oviedo took the lead for the first time (3-2), but the people from Malaga, very focused, once again took the pulse of the match. The income was minimal until Javi García put the 4-6 at 12:47. This advantage continued beyond the midpoint of the first period (6-b). However, a mistake by the Malacitanos team led to the comeback of the Oviedo team, which once again led the scoreboard (9-8) at 18:36.

The match was not disappointing. The Malacitan team, despite the momentary defeat, was well planted, without losing face in the clash, although some defensive imbalances were condemning him when, previously, he had the opportunity to put himself in the way.

This local improvement was reflected in the electronic, when those from the capital of the Principality of Asturias scored 11-9 at 24:16. Quino Soler requested time out. This break served as a stimulus for the Costa Soleños, as they managed to draw a draw (12-12) with six minutes remaining. Likewise, with a tie it was reached 29:23. However, when it seemed that the first half would end with this result, the refereeing pair whistled the maximum penalty with two seconds left before the conclusion of the first act.

Returning to the court, after passing through the locker room, the score increased (16-14). On the other hand, despite the adversity, Trops gained weight until they controlled the situation and turned the score around. So, from 16-14 it went to 17-19 at 38:02. Playing at pleasure, Trops went three (20-23) at 45:30. And four minutes later, the 20-25, which gave some peace of mind to Quino Soler’s squad. With 25 goals and already at a slower pace, Oviedo closed the gap to get within three (22-25) with eight minutes remaining.

The Oviedo Base, seeing that there was still time for the heroic, put in one more gear. They even adjusted the result (24-26) at 56:49, but Trops, with more depth on the bench and with a good Villamarín in goal, did not allow any more concessions and won the match by 25-28.

With this result, Trops remains at the top of the league table, hot on the heels of Ciudad Real and Guadalajara Therefore, to continue putting pressure on both teams that lead the category, with eight points, the team from Malaga, who have six in their victory tally, must continue on the path of victory and, in the short term deadline, it means winning next Sunday, in Los Olivos (12:00 p.m.), against Valinox Novás.
