The race was decided on the Tracciolino path with Gaggi’s comeback who once again managed to change pace, gaining the lead and holding it until the finish line. For her, a well-deserved success in 1h 06’01”. Behind her Valentina Belotti (Us Malonno) completed her ascent in 1h06’47”. Third step of the podium for another Italian mountain runner Elisa Sortini (1h09’07” Alta Valtellina). Elisa Compagnoni 4th and the young Sveva Della Pedrina 5th also did well. The two ran the central part of the race shoulder to shoulder, with the epilogue of the challenge decided on the ramp that led from Moledano to Frasnedo. Here the Como native Ruga (La Recastello) launched a decisive attack which allowed him to triumph with a time of 56’34”. Second place goes to US Malonno’s Emanuele Manzi, 21″ behind, while Daniele Fontana (Ticino) closes in third place, 1’20” behind the winner.
