The Valserine Archers: A Promising Start to the New Season

The Valserine archers have started again since the end of September, to the great satisfaction of their president Roland Thévenin. The club has had a makeover with more than forty members, including many young people. A healthy emulation which should bear fruit in the various championships which are emerging, whether in Ain or in France.

The committee has planned the establishment of annual events, meetings and game evenings with moments of sharing: a great novelty.

Waiting for new premises

The club, even if it impatiently awaits its new training location in 2024 at the sports plain, is fortunate to have quality equipment with its room for shooting distances from 5 meters to 25 meters , and 15 firing points. Outdoors, practitioners can count on 21 shooting ranges with distances from 5 meters to 43 meters.

For training, the club can count on Robert Vianello. The Bellegardien is a supervisor entirely devoted to his sport, with the titles obtained in the past. It teaches skill, precision, self-control, fair play…

Archery is also a codified discipline where the archer must know the safety rules. The training room is open all year round (excluding public holidays), Wednesday and Friday, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at 2 Avenue Paul Langevin.

The sport of archery is accessible from 10 years old, accompanied by an adult for the youngest.
