The municipalities of Hensies and Dour will collaborate for a good cause

The mobilization will therefore be able to take place in Hensies as part of the month of October, placed under the sign of the fight against breast cancer by Think Pink. “We were able to count on the commitment of many of the entity’s merchants to implement our first action as part of Pink October. It will consist of a sale of pink ribbons in participating businesses. The latter received a box of ribbons which they are making available to their customers wishing to participate in the action. Informative brochures were also provided to them so that everyone can have all the necessary information on this action,” indicates Clémentin Dehon, communications manager for the non-profit organization Symbiose.

The town of Hensies will obviously not stop there in its involvement in the fight against breast cancer. “At the end of the month, the non-profit organization Symbiose will participate in the Race for The Cure in Dour to show its support for the cause. We also intend to develop synergies with the municipality of Dour to, in the future, be able to organize larger-scale events. This collaboration should be effective from next year,” continues Clémentin Dehon.

Citizens also wishing to contribute to the fight against breast cancer can go to one of the businesses participating in the ribbon sales action until the end of the month. The list of participants is available on the Facebook page of the non-profit organization Symbiose. Registrations for the Race for The Cure in Dour are also still possible. The meeting is set for October 22.
