The Leganés Badminton Club Shines with Multiple Medals at the Senior Spanish Championship in Benalmádena

The pepinero club has achieved two golds, a silver and a bronze in Benalmádena

This past weekend, October 13 and 15, the celebration of the Senior Spanish Badminton Championship, in the Malaga town of Benalmádena. The Leganés Badminton Club traveled there, where he achieved great results. The pepineros won four medals, two gold, one silver and one bronze, which gives a very positive balance to the Spanish Championship.

On the one hand, Juan José Pérez won gold in DM SV with José Fraile and bronze in IM SV with Nieves. Besides, Carmen and Begoña Duque won the second gold for the club in DF D. Finally, Silvia Rueda won silver in DF A2 with Teresa. On the part of the pepinero club they also played Beatriz Martín and Sebastián López, staying at the gates of the fight for medals, but having a great tournament. Patricia Sánchez did not participate on this occasion, but did secretarial work for the development of the championship.

The Leganés Badminton Club has highlighted two aspects, the high participation in the Championship with 322 players and the presence of women, for the first time, in all the categories and modalities disputed. “We only hope that this continues like this” they stressed from Leganés.
