The Judo Club Don Benito participated this weekend in the Extremadura Absolute Championship, held at the Guadiana Sports Center in Mérida.
From the club they claim to be very satisfied with the results obtained in a competition in which they have attended with a very young team:
– Claudia Vélez. Bronze medal in -48 kg
– Arsenia Rodríguez. Silver medal in -63 kg
– Nicolás Olmo. Bronze medal in -60 kg
– José Luis Romero. Bronze medal in -73 kg
– Marco Trejo 5th in -66 kg
– Jesús Talavera, could not overcome the first rounds -60 kg. Still, very good competition after a season without activity.
In the afternoon, a technical training session was held with about 30 judokas from the club from the Alevín to Junior categories.
To end the day, our judoka Rafael Rubiano, a native of Mérida, holds a meeting of judokas from Emeritus, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the arrival of Judo to this city.
