The historic ranking of the French at the Ballon d’Or: Michel Platini overviews the debates

To develop this ranking, we only took into account the players named and having obtained at least one vote during the ballot awarding the Ballon d’Or, i.e. 57 Tricolores since the first edition, in 1956.

Here is the scale used to classify them:
– 100 points for a victory
– 50 points for a 2nd place
– 30 points for 3rd place
– 20 points for a top 5
– 10 points for a top 10
– 5 points for a nomination

In the event of a tie, the player with the highest ranking has the advantage. If there is still a tie, the average of the places obtained decides between the players concerned. In the case of a single nomination, the players are decided by the place obtained.
