The Fedebeis receives a donation for an amount greater than $1.4 million in implements

The Panamanian Baseball Federation yesterday received a million-dollar donation for an amount greater than $1.4 million, which made the Pitch In Baseball & Softball company possible, on the grass of the Rod Carew stadium.

Everything goes directly to the provincial and district leagues for the development of baseball in the country.

Nearly 12,000 athletes will be receiving sports equipment that includes: bats, baseball shoes, catcher sets, pants, spandex and others.

In this first phase, supplies were delivered to the Provincial and District Leagues of Panama Metro, Panamá Oeste, Panamá Este, Colón and Darién, as well as district leagues. The Provincial Leagues of Veraguas, Coclé, Herrera and Los Santos also received their equipment.

‘That everything is distributed to all the provinces of the country and that in this way young people can take advantage. We have many plans, this is the second one,’ commented Jean Carlos Rodríguez, former baseball player from Santeo and who has been the main link for this donation.

‘This is something that gives me a lot of satisfaction because always when I played one of the goals was to reach the Major Leagues to help others, unfortunately I didn’t get there, but I knew how to move the chips and I’m doing it this way,’ he added.
