Months ago, the ITIA had confirmed that the American tennis player had received a voluntary provisional suspension due to location failures to undergo anti-doping controls. Once that news was announced, the independent court took up the case and, finally, the sanction awarded was known.

“The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) can confirm that an independent tribunal has suspended American tennis player Jenson Brooksby for 18 months after determining that the player had made three location errors in a twelve-month period”the statement begins.

“Brooksby accepted that the first and third failed tests were valid, so only the second failed test was in dispute before the court. Having considered the evidence, the court concluded that Brooksby’s degree of fault for the missing test was high”.

In this way, Jenson Brooksby will face an 18-month suspension until early 2025. However, he will have 21 days to appeal the decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
