BARENDRECHT – The Senior Recreational Tournament took place on Saturday, October 7 at Badminton Club The Flying Shuttle.
With 95 participants from all over the region, 193 matches, many supporters and a pleasant atmosphere, the tournament committee looks back on a very successful day.
The men’s and women’s doubles were played in the morning, and the mixed doubles in the afternoon. There was a group for both experienced and novice players in which they played several matches. Many great points and exciting matches were played. A number of groups were so exciting that the final score was decided on mutual results or the number of points scored. There were real Barendrecht prizes for the numbers one, two and three in the group. Thanks to a large number of Barendrecht entrepreneurs, there was also a well-stocked tombola table, and water and fruit for every participant.
A trial lesson in badminton is available on Mondays and Thursdays from 7:30 PM in Sports Hall Lagewei. The association lends a racket.
