Sportivo Desamparados Faces Coach Departure at Regional Amateur Tournament

At the beginning of the Regional Amateur Tournament, the one who starred in the controversy of the weekend was Sportivo Desamparados. After falling on the first date, the team from the Patricias Sanjuaninas neighborhood was left without a coach. An early farewell that surprised the football environment and sparked endless speculation about what is to come.

The news was announced by the club through its social networks. After the 2-0 defeat against San Lorenzo de Ullum, in their debut as a visitor, the leadership decided to dismiss coach Emanuel Guirado. The decision was made despite the fact that the former goalkeeper had commanded the preseason and had practically formed the team for the competition.

“We appreciate your dedication and effort during your time at the club. This is a new beginning and an opportunity to continue growing as a team. We will soon share more news about the future of Club Sportivo Desamparados. Let’s go together for new challenges!”, expressed the institution in a statement.

For now there is no news about who will be Guirado’s replacement. And although on social networks the majority of fans asked for Ricardo Dillon, the club’s historic coach, the Mendoza native has already warned that it is not that way. “No one called me,” he said when asked by Tiempo de San Juan.

Another name that sounds strong, among the San Juan candidates, is Cristian Bove. The former coach of Peñarol was already in the Víbora team during the 2020/2021 season, leading 15 games in the Federal A Tournament (won six, tied five and lost four). Could it be that he comes back?
