South-Eastern Manceau Judo and Ju-Jitsu Club Rises Strong After Covid Crisis

The south-eastern Manceau judo and ju-jitsu club (SEMJJ) has the particularity of covering three municipalities: Changé, Parigné-l’Évêque and Le Grand-Lucé. « It took us three years to redensify our workforce after the Covid crisis, analyzes Laurent Ollivier, one of the club’s managers. While registrations are still open, our 210 licensees already place us among the biggest clubs in Sarthe. »

The quality of the training is also there, as evidenced by the Silver 2023 label awarded by the judo federation which validates the supervision, dynamics and sporting offer of SEMJJ. The teacher, Amaury Vrignaud, who is starting his fourth season with the club, is no stranger to this success. Crowned French champion for 30-35 year olds under 100 kg in June, he instills healthy emulation in the fifteen classes he gives each week, in the three different dojos. “This year we are offering a second weekly training session which has attracted 90% of adults and half of young people. Our objective with the under 9s is to win the quality challenge of all the gatherings offered”announces this competitor at heart.
