You can now sign up for the Football Fitness Oeiras program
Do you love playing football and want to be part of a team? The 2023/2024 sports season is open at Parque Desportivo Carlos Queiroz.
The third edition of Football Fitness Oeiras is almost starting. The program, organized by the municipal company Oeiras Viva, is aimed at all those who enjoy playing football, whether men or women, as, according to the organization, “it is intended to be an inclusive and pluralistic sporting activity”. Regarding the ages of the participants, anyone between 21 and 59 years old can register.
During the month of June, experimental training was provided so that anyone who wanted could learn about the program and thus join the groups being formed for the 2023/2024 sports season. If you missed this information, no problem, as registrations only opened this Wednesday, October 18th, meaning there’s still time to participate.
Training will take place at Parque Desportivo Carlos Queiroz, in Carnaxide, twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10 and 11 pm. There will also be another, fortnightly, on Saturday, at a time to be defined. Depending on the volume of registrations, the organization states that teams will be formed, in order to create a game plan that provides competitions between them, every 15 days.
The project’s philosophy is to associate recreational football with the promotion of health, physical fitness and well-being among participants. To achieve this, the program guarantees specialized monitoring by professionals in the area of training and exercise, as well as in the health area. In fact, the organization states that participation is subject to medical evaluation and presentation of medical exams, and “only those who are considered suitable after the respective evaluation” can join the program, it highlights.
Registration (with insurance included) costs €50 and subsequent monthly payments are €40. To register, you will have to fill out a form, which you can obtain at the sports park reception, where you will also have to hand it in.
