Wulfsen. Two seriously injured, three slightly injured, that is the sad outcome of a traffic accident on Sunday afternoon in Wulfsen.
Mathias Wille, spokesman for the Salzhausen fire department, reports: For reasons that are still unknown, a BMW with five people in it veered off the road to the right in a curve on the outskirts of the town in the direction of Garstedt and crashed into a tree on the passenger side.
At 1:14 p.m. the control center in the Winsen district center alerted four ambulances and two emergency doctors. The rescue helicopter Christoph Hansa and another emergency doctor made their way to Wulfsen from Hamburg.
The fire brigade secured the accident site, ensured fire protection and supported the rescue service in caring for the injured. While one of the seriously injured people was flown by helicopter to a Hamburg clinic, the four other people involved in the accident were taken to surrounding hospitals in an ambulance.
District road 7 remained completely closed to traffic during the rescue and recovery measures. The Winsen police have taken over the investigation into the cause of the accident.
