Scicli – The judoka from Scicli Vincenzo Pelligra, 20 years old, of the Judo Koizumi Scicli company, will participate on 5 October in Odivelas, Portugal, in the world junior judo championships for the 73 kilogram category.
In the last three years Pelligra has participated in both the European Junior Championships and the World Junior Championships. From two previous European Championships he returned with two gold medals. In the two previous world championships he had finished 7th in Olbia in Sardinia and 9th in Guaya Quil in Ecuador.
