Like the European continent, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) is also playing Champions League days this week. The Saudi club Al-Ittihad opened the doors of its King Abdullah Sports City stadium to the Iraqi club Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya this Tuesday evening. Thanks to a goal from Abderrazak Hamdallah (90th + 4) on an assist from French midfielder N’Golo Kanté, the Saudis won the match (1-0) and pocketed the three points.

In the standings, Al-Ittihad remains at the top of the group with 6 points taken, while Al-Jawiya is in 3rd position with the same number of points as the Iranian club Sepahan. In two weeks, Al-Ittihad will play again against Al-Jawiya, as part of the 4th day of the AFC Champions League. As a reminder, the Jeddah club has one day less, after refusing to play against Sepahan for political reasons.
