Sacramento Kings Confirm Third Year of Keegan Murray’s Rookie Contract, Extend Options for Mitchell and Duarte

To no one’s surprise, the Sacramento Kings have executed the team player that they had in their power to confirm the third year of Keegan Murray’s rookie contract; reports Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The 23-year-old forward did a fantastic job in his rookie campaign to be key in the resurgence of the Californians, who made the playoffs for the first time in 16 years. His averages, 12.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 29.8 minutes of play, which he accompanied with an excellent 41 percent in triples, were one of the great news for the Kings last year , and a warning of how important it can be for the franchise.

In parallel with the move made with Murray, Sacramento has also executed the player options it had on Davion Mitchell and Chris Duarte, in this case for the fourth year of both of their rookie contracts. Thus, the three aforementioned players will continue their careers in the capital of California – barring a transfer – until the 2024-25 season.
