Rugby World Cup: how to get tickets for the New Zealand – South Africa final?

Certainly, there is no XV of France. But New Zealand – South Africa is still a dream poster for a World Cup final. The two giants of world rugby, the only teams to already have three world titles, will compete for the Webb-Ellis trophy on Saturday October 28 at the Stade de France from 9 p.m. And there are (very few) seats left in the stands to attend.

Concretely, the only solution is to be patient with the official resale platform to try to snatch the holy grail, through repeated updates on the website. To get ahead, you must already create an account using your email address, which can take a few minutes. Due to the crowds, the platform may display some bugs.

Tickets put back on sale 24 hours before the final

Other important information: any other resale technique is prohibited, and could also be fraudulent. This Sunday morning, we tried for around twenty minutes to obtain a ticket on the resale platform, without success…

The official website simply doesn’t show any tickets available. However, hope is not in vain. Tickets could be put back on sale throughout the week by buyers (why not English, Argentinian or… French) disappointed with the final poster. According to the France 2023 organizing committee, tickets can be put back on sale up to 24 hours before the start of the match, and at no extra cost compared to the initial purchase price. “Fees representing 10% of the total amount of the order will be applied”, specifies the ticket office.

If you don’t find what you’re looking for in the final, you might want to console yourself with a place in the small final, still at the Stade de France. For once, there is choice with more than 2,500 places available for resale this Sunday morning, including several dozen starting at 64 euros. But this England-Argentina poster (Friday 9 p.m. at the Stade de France), remake of the group match won by the XV de la Rose in Marseille at the very start of the competition (27-10), is – it must be admitted – a little less enticing than the next day’s clash between the two behemoths of world rugby.
