Real Madrid ‘Grave’ Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard retired from football at the relatively early age of 32 years. Gary Neville said that Hazard failed to maintain his performance at Real Madrid.

Eden Hazard says he’s hanging up his boots. At the age of 32, the Belgian winger finished his career on the gridiron.

Eden Hazard was at the peak of his career when he played for Chelsea from 2012 to 2019. Hazard scored 110 goals and 92 assists from a total of 352 appearances, and won six trophies.

Once bought by Real Madrid, Hazard was bought for an exorbitant price of 115 euros or the equivalent of IDR 1.9 trillion. What can I do, his performance stopped because of an injury.

Hazard only played 76 times in all competitions, scoring seven goals. Hazard has never appeared in the Champions League final, and has never even played in an El Clasico match.

Gary Neville, a football pundit and former MU player, said that Eden Hazard’s journey was over when he was in the Real Madrid uniform. The reason is, Neville believes Hazard is not maintaining his performance well.

“Real Madrid is a club that is merciless, so it is a graveyard for top players,” he said as quoted by The Sun.

“Hazard is said to have talent, is part of Belgium’s golden generation team, and so on. I feel Hazard doesn’t mean it like the other Real Madrid players,” he continued.

Eden Hazard is known to be talented. Several former Chelsea players who have played with him agree that Hazard appeared lazy in training sessions but was then able to score goals and win man of the match when competing.

“Ronaldo and Messi, every day have a mission to become the best players in the world. Unfortunately, Hazard is not like that,” he concluded.
