The derby between Real Madrid and Atlético will open on January 10 Spain Supercup, which will be played in Riyadh from that day until January 14, when the final will be played. The two Madrid teams will meet in the first semifinal at the Al-Awwal Park stadium in Riyadh, as reported this Wednesday by the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).

The venue, home of the matches of Al-Nassr, the club in which Cristiano Ronaldo plays, will also host the second semi-final between Osasuna and Barcelona, the current holders of the title, on January 11. And the winners of these two matches will play the final on January 14 in that same stadium.

The first edition of the Spanish Super Cup with this final four format in Saudi Arabia was played in 2019 with the victory of Real Madrid in Jeddah, after the agreement reached between the RFEF and the authorities of that country.

In the tournament, the champion of the Copa del Rey (Real Madrid) faces the second place in LaLiga 2022-2023, but as it is the merengue team itself, its place is taken by the third, Atlético de Madrid.

In the other semifinal, the champion of the Spanish championship (Barcelona) meets the finalist of the Copa del Rey (Osasuna).
