Monterrey came to the end of an atypical week with a victory (3-1) over Mazatlán. With two days left until the close of the regular phase in the Liga Mx Femenil, the Rayadas found out on Friday that their coach Eva Espejo will not continue next season after two years of success. Without making any statements, the players came out to support the final stretch of the project of which they are currently a part on the field, achieving their fourth consecutive victory.

An early goal by Yuliana Mora (9) set off the warning signs at the BBVA stadium and gave the Sinaloans the advantage on the scoreboard. In the midst of the anguish of being overtaken by the last place in the table, the Monterrey team returned to basics. They exerted more intense pressure and with this the midfielder Dania Pérez, recovering the ball in the middle of her rival’s departure, scored the tie after a long-distance shot (24).

At the beginning of the complement, Jermaine Seoposenwe completed the comeback (46) and an own goal by Gabriela Álvarez (79) finished things off so that the Rayadas reached 32 points in third place.

In Querétaro, the Tuzas del Pachuca rescued the 1-1 draw with Gallos thanks to the score of Panamanian Marta Cox (45), who prevented Edna Santamaría’s goal (21) from defining the history of the match.

The locals were left with one less player after the expulsion of defender Fátima Delgado for a double yellow card, and they gave up the attack in the final minutes. With this result, the Hidalgo team remained in sixth place with 24 units.

Finally, at the Nou Camp stadium, the Esmeraldas fell 1-0 against Toluca in a duel that offered few emotions to the fans. Natalia Valadez made the difference in compensation time (90+1).
