Great results for the Ravachol Badminton Club in the 2023 Spanish Senior Championship, which was held in the Malaga town of Benalmádena last weekend. Three athletes from Pontevedra traveled there and competed for three days.
Raquel Miguens was proclaimed champion of Spain, this time in the women’s singles category, after having an outstanding tournament. It is the third national title for Miguens in recent years, which she continues to expand her extensive record of achievements, with the added merit of having recently overcome a complex operation.
For his part, Javier Sánchez made his debut in the category, proclaiming himself champion of Spain in men’s doubles, together with Rafael Porcuna from Jaén, and champion of Spain in mixed doubles together with Manuela Díaz from Córdoba.
The Pontevedra participation was completed by Javier Rey, although on this occasion he could not get on the podium despite completing good matches that were missed due to small details.
