The sport is committed to a sporting environment where no one feels discriminated against or disadvantaged because of who they are. This means that no distinction is made based on religion, belief, political opinion, race, gender, sexual orientation, cultural background, age or other characteristics.
Our club belongs to everyone is a project that focuses on preventing and combating racism and discrimination in sports. Within this project, sports associations, including Badminton Netherlands, and POS members will work on process guidance and a concrete training program for sports clubs in the field of awareness, standard setting and action.
Approach & training program
Through the training program for clubs we can help you learn to deal with diversity, and to combat and prevent racism and discrimination. This program is aimed at raising awareness of diversity within the sports club, and at jointly determining and enforcing the standard “How do we treat each other?” and on increasing the action perspective of administrators, trainer-coaches and referees.
As an association, you go through the phases based on a specific need and the current situation. Each club starts with an intake by a process supervisor who oversees the process. Various interventions can then be deployed regarding awareness, standard setting and action perspectives.
