Pogacar repeats victory in the Giro de Lombardia despite cramps

The Slovenian cyclist Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) won this Saturday the Giro de Lombardia, the last ‘monument’ on the UCI calendar, and where he achieved his third consecutive victory with a key attack 28 kilometers from the finish line, despite suffering cramps in the final stretch until arriving in Bergamo.

The departure from the city of Como, heading towards the town of Cantù, began a 238-kilometer route in which Pogacar and the rest of the illustrious participants encountered a series of exciting climbs, with a total difference in altitude of up to 4,400 meters. on your route.

After having conquered the last Tour of Flanders, this new victory gave Pogacar the second ‘monument’ of the season. His final time at the finish was 5h55:33, 51 seconds ahead of the sprinter to complete the podium, which Bagioli won ahead of Roglic.
