The planned Wednesday preliminary game of the 31st round of the Tipsport extra league between Pardubice and Vítkovice is postponed until November 30. The visiting team requested to change the date due to the virus.
“Unfortunately, the situation is what it is. Due to the virus, we have a lot of sick players,” explains Roman Šimíček, their sports manager, on the Vítkovice website. “We thank the Pardubice for their willingness to comply with our request to postpone the match. We appreciate it very much.”
The program changes quickly, the clubs agreed during Tuesday morning. “We want to fight for points on the ice in a sporting way, that’s why we were happy to help the Vítkovice in a difficult situation,” says Pardubice sports director Dušan Salfický. “We believe that if such a situation occurred in our team, the opponent would behave the same way.”
The replacement date is already known, it will be played on Thursday, November 30. “Tickets for the match remain valid, no exchange is necessary,” the Pardubice club warns its fans.
“We want to fight for points on the ice in a sporting way, that’s why we were happy to help Vítkovice in a difficult situation.”
In any case, health problems do not come at an opportune moment for the struggling Ostravas: the extra-league program is really packed, on Friday they will travel to distant Karlovy Vary and on Sunday they will play in Mladá Boleslav.
