Before the first Euroleague game, Pablo Laso, coach of the Bayern Munich basketball team, talks in an interview about the consequences of the World Cup, team culture, his heart attack and players with headphones.

Mr. Laso, you were on the plane with your new basketball team, FC Bayern Munich, when the German national team played the World Cup final in Manila.

But you know what: I didn’t want to watch the game at that moment. Because it wasn’t that emotional for me. And because I actually want a big screen for such big games.

On board, some of your players used their smartphones to buy WiFi access for the flight so they could watch the final.
