Every holiday season throughout the 2010s, Nike Basketball became synonymous with creating a unique banner of inspiration under which each of its iconic silhouettes could fall. From the 2012 “Galaxy” episode to the 2014 NOLA Gumbo League, the Beaverton brand has since returned to the overall aesthetic of the Nike Greater Than series.
Taking up the brand’s three main hardwood efforts, the Zoom GT Cut 2, GT Jump 2, and GT Hustle 2 are all planned in next December’s “Greater Than Ever” collection. After previewing a few of the silhouettes, the entire roster of models sees a dark, repeated treatment. From the profile swoosh to the laces, tongue and inner lining, each of the compositions executes an upper dressed in jet black while rarely seen crimson red accents help illuminate various elements along the midsole, heel and identity plate added. Additionally, each pair’s Zoom cushioned sole features a striking iridescent finish that allows purple and teal to flow into the crease underfoot.
The Nike GT Series “Greater Than Ever” collection is set to release on December 14th. Meanwhile, each pair can be seen ahead in detailed images.
