Nestor Colmenares will return to basketball in Mexico after several years. The Creole was announced as a new player for the Halcones Rojos de Veracruz this Wednesday.

The power forward comes from playing in the FIBA ​​World Cup with the Venezuelan team. In addition, he will be directed by Nicolas Casalanguida, who was Fernando Duró’s assistant in the World Cup held in Japan, the Philippines and Indonesia.

This will be the Caracas native’s third time in Aztec basketball, since in 2011 he was with the Hurricanes of Tampico and in 2013 he played with the Bees of León.

The 36-year-old player last saw action at the team level with Trotamundos de Carabobo, specifically in SPB 2023, where he averaged 12.9 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists.
