Tournament to remember the Morales Judo club that returns to Zamora with the satisfaction of continuing to increase its medal table while adding new athletes to the federation training sessions.
The Caja Rural-Judo Zamora team was represented only by Elena Bahamonde from the Morales Judo club in the Spanish Super Cup that was held in Galicia. She traveled there to take part in the Cadet-44 kg category, marking a path in which the victory was cut short after moving to the semifinals.
After winning the repechage and with three very close victories, the Zamora managed to take a well-deserved third position by beating the Balearic judoka who won gold in Torrelavega the previous week.
A great achievement for this Moralina judoka who, thanks to the bronze that Elena obtained for her team, will be among the five best in the country. Despite being still a cadet, next weekend she will compete in the absolute championship of Castilla y León. On behalf of the Judo Zamorana delegation we want to congratulate this outstanding athlete and encourage her to follow her path.
Deserved mention also goes to the judokas Miriam Silvares, Sak Ventosa, Juan Meana and Rodrigo Gil who made their debut in the first federation training sessions, measuring themselves against the best in Castilla y León at the high performance center in Valladolid.
