The new initiative, which will liven up that weekend, also on Sunday 17th with a special initiative, will kick off the snow season, opening a window on all the winter activities that can be carried out on the mountains of Trento.
The heart of the event will be the two events reserved for ski mountaineering enthusiasts, namely a non-competitive meeting open to all and a race reserved for Fisi registered athletes, the Bondone Ski Raid. The appointment with the latter is for Saturday 16 December at 5pm: the competition will therefore take place at night, on a route designed along the slopes of the Monte Bondone ski area. The positive difference in altitude to be covered by the competing athletes will be 1,350 metres, distributed over five climbs, while there will be four downhill sections, with related changes in setup.
The start and finish will be set up in Vason, at an altitude of 1,654 metres, where at the end of the race there will also be a pasta party, awards ceremony and a lively party in the square. The highest point of the race will be Cima Palon, with its 2,090 metres.
It is already possible to register using the website www.bondonewelcomewinter.it. The price is 45 euros, including a voucher for the pasta party and technical gadgets, with a special prize for the first three male and female finishers. To secure a bib you will have until Thursday 14 December.
On Friday 15th, however, the first edition of the Bondone Night UpHill, a non-competitive ski mountaineering meeting, will take place. Also in this case the event will enjoy the charm of the night, but the context will be different for the participants, who will start at 6.30 pm from Baita Montesel (1,425 metres), without the worry of the stopwatch. However, a ranking will be drawn up, with prizes awarded for the first ten who reach the arrival area and for the largest group. Skialp enthusiasts will go up the Cordela and Canalon slopes, until reaching Cima Palon (2,090 metres). The descent to the Vason location will then be tackled independently by the individual participants along the Canalon slope. The positive difference in altitude will be 650 metres, making the route particularly suitable for all those who want to spend a pleasant evening in company, full of active fun, climbing and skiing along the slopes of Monte Bondone.
Following this, for all participants, there will be a pasta party and awards ceremonies in the square in Vason with a DJ set. Registration for the rally can also be sent from the event website and you have until Thursday 14 December. The cost is 35 euros and entitles you to a meal voucher and technical gadgets.
