WEZEP – The men’s team of Badminton ’80 Wezep played away against BC ELO Hengelo. The matches were played by: Layo van het Goor, Thomas Koopman, Cornel van Dorp and Justin Booij.
Layo and Cornel played the first doubles, and won 21-16, 21-19. The second double was for Justin and Thomas. Unfortunately, they lost in an exciting match: 18-21, 21-14, 19-21. In the singles, Justin lost the first match, 18-21, 16-21. Cornel won his match 21-16, 21-15.
Layo also won his match with an exciting 21-18, 21-19. After this it was Thomas’ turn, and he also won his game. 21-17, 18-21, 21-19. Finally, there were the doubles of Justin/Layo and Cornel/Thomas. Layo and Justin unfortunately lost their match 22-24, 16-21. But fortunately Thomas and Cornel won the match, 22-20, 21-16.
In the end it became a 5-3 win for the Men’s team of Badminton ’80 Wezep. The next match is at home against BC Hellas Nunspeet on October 25 in the Kamphal at 7:30 PM.
