Megawati Hangestri Apparently Gets a Low Salary with High Quality and Pressure in the Korean Volleyball League

tvOnenews.com – Behind the brilliant debut of Indonesian volleyball athlete, Megawati Hangestri at the South Korean club, Jung Kwan Jang Red Spark, it turns out there is a sad story behind it.

Megawati Hangestri was chosen by the club previously known as KGC Daejon. He qualified after being selected in the Asian quota draft pick held by the South Korean Volleyball Federation (KOVO).

In this recruitment, it turned out that the salaries regulated by KOVO were far from the contract value of local South Korean volleyball athletes.

Reporting from the Yonhap News page, it turns out that the players selected from the Asian quota have an annual salary of 135 million won or the equivalent of IDR 1.5 billion.

This figure is far from local South Korean players who have an average contract of 152 million won or the equivalent of IDR 1.78 billion.

In fact, the players who qualify for the Asian quota must face great pressure and expectations.
