Mamadou Sakho Faces Suspension After Allegedly Assaulting Trainer with a Broom

The 29-time French national player Mamadou Sakho (33) has apparently suffered a serious failure. As the French newspaper “L’Équipe” reports, Sakho is said to have hit his trainer Michel Der Zakarian with a broom in front of eyewitnesses. His club HSC Montpellier then suspended him.

Sakho, who once played for Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool FC, was allegedly called a “crybaby” by his coach. The club has now started an internal investigation – if the crime is proven, Sakho could face permanent expulsion.
